ATS TrekMUSH EconomyImage by WolfPAKThe ATS TrekMUSH Economy has recently been through two complete revisions. The initial economy system was based on planetary markets run and controlled by players, with limitations on the number of factories, warehouses and other assets that companies could control. The new system was designed to separate the market system from players, thereby reducing the possibility of market exploitation and unrealistic 'market limits' that were a major hindrance to trade in the original economy. The new system also allows for a more unlimited form of company expansion, allowing companies to control many warehouses with an almost unlimited number of factories per warehouse. The third and current revision to Economy will allow for other company assets, including shipyards, clearinghouses and research centres. The markets have also undergone another revision, this time encouraging traders to look further afield for the best trades. Basic Information
Fundamental Concepts These are some of the reasons why things were done the way they were. The following explains the basic behaviour of the various components and why there are certain limits in place. This section can help an advanced player to work out better ways of doing things.
Lists These are some useful informative links, most of this information can be viewed on the MUSH, however it is also presented here in a formatted layout for completeness and clarity.
Command Interaction and Help The ATS Economy can be broken down into a number of different areas of interaction. Each area has a console related to it, with associated commands that are explained in the following sections.
