Registration
To log into ATS as a Guest, or to
register a character online, or log into an existing character, you must
first telnet to ATS, and get to the connection screen:

Once there, you have
several options available. The first one, is to log in as a Guest. As a
guest, you can check to see if a name is already taken using the
@finger command. You can consult with Directors to
see about getting characters in NPC or registration-by-email empires. A
list of them is viewable with the @listdirectors command. A list of which
empires offer online immediate registration is viewable using @count. To log in as a Guest,
type:
connect
guest
If you want to register a new character, you can send email to the
Directors of the empire of your choice (email details are available on the
factions page, link below), and ask them to make you a character. Some
empires, such as NPC or the smaller Independent empires, will require you
to include detailed backgrounds and biographies for you proposed character.
To see the details of
registering characters at the connection screen, type:
create information
If you already have a
character, you can connect to it by typing:
connect (existing
character name) (password)
(If your new or existing
character name has one or more spaces in it, enclose it in "quote
marks").
You may only have one
character at a time on ATS TrekMUSH.
